COLUMBUS (July 2, 2001) – Governor Bob Taft today announced the release of the new Ohio Packaged Travel Planner, which includes useful information specifically designed to assist tour operators in planning unique tours of Ohio. The 176-page planner, produced by the Ohio Department of Development Division of Travel and Tourism, highlights packaged travel-friendly destinations, receptive operators, step-on guides, trivia, festivals and additional packaged travel information from across the state. A collection of easy-to-use itineraries has been created for each of the state’s five regions. “We need to spread the word far and wide that Ohio is a unique travel destination,” Taft said. “The new travel planner, highlighting our state’s diverse attractions, will be an effective tool in bringing more visitors to Ohio.” Additional information on Ohio’s packaged travel may be accessed at www.OhioGroupTour.com.
