GOVERNOR ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT
Timothy L. Cardwell appointed Huron County Juvenile/Probate Court Judge

COLUMBUS (November 21, 2002) - Governor Bob Taft today announced a judicial appointment to the Huron County Juvenile/Probate Court.

Timothy L. Cardwell, from Norwalk, was appointed Huron County Juvenile/Probate Court Judge for a term beginning December 1, 2002 and ending on February 8, 2003. Mr. Cardwell replaces Judge Thomas Heydinger, who retired. Mr. Cardwell was elected as Huron County Juvenile/Probate Court Judge and will begin his elected position on February 9, 2003.

Mr. Cardwell is an attorney in the law firm of Owens & Martin Co., L.P.A. and The Owens Law Firm, Norwalk and Willard, Ohio. His practice is concentrated in the area of family and juvenile law.

Mr. Cardwell received his B.A. degree from Allegheny College and his J.D. degree from Cleveland State University, Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.

Mr. Cardwell, residents in Norwalk with his wife of ten years and their two children.
