
TAFT ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENTS TO THE
OHIO HELP ME GROW ADVISORY COUNCIL
COLUMBUS (December 5, 2003) - Governor Bob Taft today announced appointments to the Ohio Help Me Grow Advisory Council.
The Ohio Help Me Grow Advisory Council advises and assists the Ohio Department of Health to plan, develop, and implement a statewide system of early intervention services for infants and toddlers at developmental risk, and their families. This council is formerly known as the Ohio Interagency Early Intervention Council. The council consists of at least 15, and no more than 25 members appointed by the Governor, and shall include the directors of the following Departments of this state or their designees: Health, Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities, Human Services, Department of Education, Mental Health, Insurance, and Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services. Additionally, it shall include at least one member of the Ohio Senate, appointed by the Senate President, and one member of the House of Representatives, appointed by the Speaker of the House. The following are the governors appointments, terms ending June 30, 2007. Members are compensated for expenses only.
